COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Protocol
Friends and Clients of Ark Animal Hospital:
As we are all aware, responding to the Covid-19 pandemic has become
necessary. We here at Ark Animal Hospital are taking the appropriate steps to
ensure safety for all clients, patients, and staff members, while continuing to
provide necessary care for your pets. At this time we are going to
what is commonly known as “curbside” protocol.
Aside from sanitizing after each appointment and having our staff work
diligently to keep our lobby occupancy to a minimum, we have found we need to
take our precautions a few steps further.
For us to continue to offer a safe working and business environment
we are implementing the following changes effective
Monday 3/23/2020:
No walk-ins at this time. Our doors will be locked and we will need you to
call or email us for assistance. We are limiting exposure as much as possible,
but our staff will be available during regular business hours as long as the
CDC/Government allows.
Surgeries/Anesthetic Procedures that are already scheduled will remain
scheduled. We will contact those clients with updated drop off procedural
information.
**Procedure for Bringing in a Sick Pet**
Sick Pets may be brought in for *scheduled* appointments
As always, dogs must be leashed and cats must be secured in a carrier
When you arrive, stay in your car and call us at 863-937-9021. A team member
will come out to collect your pet.
While you wait in your car, your pet will be examined. The Doctor will
call you after performing the exam to answer any questions you may have and to
discuss treatment options.
Once we have your permission, treatment will be provided. Upon completion a
staff member will bring your pet back to your car.
**Payments**
Credit Card payments can be taken over the phone
Please avoid bringing cash/checks at this time to avoid exposure
risks.
**Picking up Prescriptions/Medications **
If you are picking up prescriptions/medications please call 24 hours ahead
at 863-937-9021
When you come to pick up, please call us from the parking lot and we will
send a team member out to assist you.
Please remember we do have our online pharmacy in
case of emergency business closures. We will continue to approve these orders
(within our legal abilities) as they come through even if we are not able to be
in clinic.

Please bear with us during high call volumes.
Thank you for your understanding and patience while we do our part to keep
the community safe and minimize the burden on our human health care system.
This is unknown territory for most of us and not a decision we take lightly. We
realize these changes may be inconvenient, but we are here and stand with our
community as we weather this storm together. Stay Healthy!
